Angela

Hello

Hi, I'm Angela Mangum. I was raised in rural Nevada and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Later, I earned my graduate degree as a nurse practitioner from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). I value community, resilience, and the importance of accessible mental health care.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors through hiking, attending live music events, traveling, and taking the occasional cruise to recharge.

“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light.” — Albus Dumbledore

Life’s challenges can impact every part of our well-being - mental, physical, emotional, and even our sense of purpose and connection to others. During difficult seasons, it can feel like the light is hard to find. Seeking support takes courage, but you don’t have to navigate those moments alone. My role is to help guide and support you as you rediscover your strength and move toward healing.

I have spent my nursing career specializing in emergency medicine and behavioral health, working with individuals across the lifespan. As a military veteran and a native Nevadan, I understand the unique stressors and challenges that many individuals and families face, including those living in our rural communities. I am passionate about increasing access to mental health care and offer both in-person and telehealth services to help make treatment more accessible.

My approach to care is collaborative, thoughtful, and holistic. I believe in taking the time to truly listen, provide education, and explore treatment options together before making decisions about medication. When medication is appropriate, I believe it is important that clients fully understand their treatment plan and feel comfortable discussing their thoughts and concerns. I also provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals seeking support with substance use disorders.

I have 10+ years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, psychosis, behavioral challenges, and substance use concerns, among many other mental health conditions.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their care. With compassion, open communication, and a bit of lightheartedness along the way, we will work together to navigate life’s challenges and help you move toward a healthier, more balanced life.
